The Love We Share, The Life We Live

"All things work together for them that love God, for them who are called by his name." And who are those that love God? They are those who keep his command, to love God and their neighbors as they love themselves.

I heard these very wordings of the scripture today, as I worshipped in church, and it struck me in a very remote way. As I listened to the priest continuously harped on this very words and emphasized on it by delving deeper into how one could experience this 'working together for good', it scraped me to ponder on the subject of love, the very instrument of our essence of living.

Summarily, the sermonist taught about how love is central in obtaining graces from God and how it would be impossible to love without sacrifice. But truly, the love of God could only be imaginary without the practical effectuation made manifest by the love of man to his fellow human beings.

The point he made being that it would be a deception to claim the love for God without an honest, practical manifestation of the love for man, which is shown by the deep sense of commitment, care and attention that by themselves do not come without sacrifice.

Of course, he could not be farther from the truth. Aside been a religious analysis that clicks on spiritual appreciative, it is an eternal truth that strikes upon our universal understanding. The love we share, is the life we live.

We are all products of love, of divine love. We are structured and defined by love. We are also saved and sustained by the same substance of love. The reason most oftentimes, it is a matter of striving to hate, to live in inattention. Because we are of mostly love nature, it is more easy for us to love.

We do not struggle to be human, yes to love. It is just because of the dereliction to the substance of wickedness that we see ourselves committing albeit effortly to evil compulsion of hate and divisiveness. Because we are meant to live essentially in love, every tendency that is geared to evil comes with that energetic commitment of struggle and strife.

Because we are made of love, living outside its bound seems to be a difficult venture, a herculean task that drains us of energy, of valuable time and of more productive leanings that emphasize our true human nature. It's of course our antithesis to live in ramblings and hence a defeat of the ultimate purpose of life, which is to love and share.

The fact here being that, as humans, created by God, we are essentially of and for love. We must therefore, as a responsibility build on it, propagate it and disseminate it; by the commitment and attitude we posit. Our ability to live in and share out love is basic upon a world that works for our overall good.

Indeed, the life we live is the love we share!
