Biking: A Cycle Through Health & Fun

There's no sports exciting as one that facilitates healthy life while also providing the best of pleasure. The point is that a sporting engagement is greatly enjoyed when there's no underlying pressure to meet a demand or out-beat an opponent as is the case with organized sports.

That's the leverage provided by recreational sports, and which they do so readily; having a combination of exercise and enjoyment. Cycling is one of such recreational functions that combines the effects of enjoyment and exercise. These are benefits derived willfully by the individual and at much convenience.

Just like many outdoor recreational activities, cycling does not place much demand of technicalities. The individual does not need to become an athlete or undergo some rigorous training to be ripe for it. Anyone can be involved in it; all it requires is to know how to toggle the pedal of a bicycle, and this can be done by little learning of how to sit and engage the pulley of this simple, lean and easy-to-carry machine.

Biking as it is sometimes called has a stylish feeling that comes with it, even in just calling it: bike, biking! It has another advantage, and one which places the ultimate fun on this sports, is the ease of mind it requires. One is not under any kind of pressure to impress a coach/trainer or to prove any point to an opponent. There's no pursuit of trophy, there's no competition and a squad and hence no stress and pressure.

Personally, I've had to have a close affiliation to biking because of the leverage it gives me. It simply makes me feel and appreciate nature while practically putting my whole body at work to benefit from the acrobatics of exercise. While driving the pedals with my feet, my thighs, arms, trunk and head are moving in responsive exercise activity. Indeed, biking is such a holistic exercise. And for me, it a sort of lifestyle!

What more can one seek in a world demanding of easiness/happiness to mitigate stress associated with life and also requiring the conscious commitment of the body to exercise so as to keep fit and stay healthy? I think the answer lies greatly in the combination of sports and recreation as is raptly captured in recreational sports. Combining playing and exercising on ride altogether, biking stands out as a sport that is fun.

Isn't it fun trying out something that's exciting? Why not try out biking? Don't bother if you can't bike at the moment, the learning is such that you can do with just little days of focused commitment. And when you are good to go, trust me that you won't only derive the exercising impact but the enjoyment it gives as one huge recreational sports!
