NYSC Releases Orientations Timetable



The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the commencement of orientation exercise for the 2nd stream of mobilized graduates for the 2016 Batch B of the scheme.

From the timetable released, and obtained from DailyPost, registration of corps members begins on the 24th and end 25th of January with swearing in holding on the 27th.

Closure of orientation camp is on the 13th of February, 2017.

While releasing the timetable for the course, the management also announced the introduction of a novel policy. The prospective corps members are required to provide along the other requirements, medical certificate.

The inclusion of medical certificate is suspected to have come up following spates of deaths of corps members who were suspected to be ill on the Zamfara, Kano and Bayelsa camps last year.

The NYSC is a government agency that enlist graduates of tertiary institutions into a compulsory scheme, where the young men and women enlisted, serve the nation in various capacities for one year.
