Okwunaezigwe: 'Kimkong' Onuwa Beaten, Hospitalized

The crisis rocking Okwunaezigwe autonomous community has taken another dimension with the beating and hospitalization of Mr Onuwa. In his continuous bid to arrest his supposed saboteurs, the man in the picture of the ezeship crisis rocking Okwunaezigwe autonomous community was allegedly attacked on Monday. It was gathered that Mr Onuwa, alias Ojiegbe-azaoku led a company of police officers in their Hilux vans to Umuezigwe for supposed arrest when he was attacked and mercilessly beaten by the youths of the village. His car was smashed even as it was alleged that the security men who accompanied him fled. However, after taking him to the hospital, the police men in their vans, who by now were reinforced, were seen heading to Umuezigwe for unknown mission as at the time of reporting. Mr Onuwa, allegedly banking in the euphoria of the quietude he has instilled on the inhabitants of Umuwada, one of the villages in the community, through the arrest and threat of more, felt buoyed b

Ezeship Tussle: Okwunaezigwe In Crisis

The decision of the Imo State government to recognize Chief Chris Adigo as the Eze in the kingship tussle of Okwunaezigwe in Amuzi, Obowo LGA, might not have gone well with one of contenders, whose action seems to have plunged the community into crisis. It was gathered that uneasiness began to rear its head when one of the aspirants, apparently dissatisfied by the decision to recognize his opponent.  Mr.  Onuwa commonly known as Ojiegbe-azaoku, began the wanton arrest of those he felt  sabotaged his inordinate bid. The villages of Umuwada, Umuezigwe and Umuochieze that formed parts of the autonomous community are presently in fear and hiding following the onslaught of security men who constantly parade the villages at the leading of the said Onuwa. It would be recalled that following the inability to peacefully resolve their ezeship issue, the governor of Imo State, OK orchard,  had summoned some of the autonomous communities for a parley in Owerri. It was at the parley that he s

President Buhari Addresses Nigerians, Restates Nigeria' Unity

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday addressed the nation in a national broadcast to mark the 57th independent anniversary of the country. In his speech, the president congratulated Nigerians for what he described as "a day for thanksgiving, reflections and re-dedication". He said," October 1st remains a special day for all Nigerians as this marks the day when we attained one of the most precious of human desires — freedom...It is a day for thanksgiving, reflections and re-dedication. " Mr Buhari used the opportunity to speak on the growing calls for restructuring, saying that though it is a rational call, it is one that should be properly channeled to the National and states assemblies which, according to him is "the the proper and legal fora for National debate." He berated the recent methods of the call which he said has allowed "highly irresponsible groups to call for dismemberment of the country." On agitations for secession, he s

Nnamdi Kanu Used The Language Of The Beast To Reawaken Discourse

In the heels of the recent proscription and branding of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a security consultant, Chigozie Onyeukwu Ubani, has said that IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu, has reawakened national consciousness on the urgent need to restructure Nigeria on the path on peace and justice. Mr. Ubani who is a security consultant, stated this in an interview with Vanguard, condemned the proscription and branding of IPOB as a terrorist organization and urged the federal government to tread with caution in order to avoid the IPOB crisis producing what he described as ‘unpleasant results.’ He said, “Nnamdi has used the language of the beasts to galvanize Nigerians to a subject which notable Nigerians have unsuccessfully championed in the last 50 years. Don’t forget that the Aburi Accord was mostly about restructuring Nigeria. Let us now take it further for the benefit of posterity. Nnamdi Kanu has done his bit and has his place in history. “In my opinion, the Federal Governme

Rail Lines For Economic Development...By Anthony Okediran

Image
The stage is gradually taking shape, especially as regards the politics of 2019. And men would vie for positions. But then, I would want to put up an issue for campaign, one that should regulate how we vote, and one which I suggest we all should vote for. I want to nominate rail lines for economic development. Infrastructures and institutions make the economy. There is no politics without economy. Analysis of consumer price indices shows a bulk commitment on transport cost. There is a variation in the prices of given goods between locations. But then, an effective transport system plays a vital role in price determination. Producers consider demand prior to commencement of production. It is the assurance of ease access to markets that ensures increase production. There are many values of the speed rails. They ensure profitable movement of skills and products. They help bring goods and services to optimal use. More so, rents would reduce as less persons would drag the few h

Court Declares IPOB Terrorist Group

Image
For those who might be concerned more with the legality of the proscription of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), the news is that a Federal High Court has so declared it. Justice Abdu Kafarati of an Abuja High Court had on Wednesday granted an exparted motion brought by the Attorney General of the Federation, Mr Abubakar Malami.  The court declared that the activities of IPOB in Nigeria, particularly in the South-East or South-South regions, henceforth, constituted “an act of terrorism.” The process of the court is seen largely as an attempt by the federal government to give legality to the branding of IPOB as a terrorist group by the Defence Headquarters which has received wide bashing. The prominent being from the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, who described it as unconstitutional, having not followed the statutory processes. The minister of information, Lai Mohammed had, in the week, said he would not join the debate over the legality or otherwise of the

Anthony Okediran: Why We're Far From Eldorado

Rome, they say, was not built in a day and desires, we know, don't grow wings without persistence. It takes consistent effort to actualise goals. But for most people, it seems and mostly appear that we desire and continuously do so without the commensurate effort to cause them to be. Our biggest challenge is our inability to transform ideas. It seems we are endowed with orators and strategists, who are good in opining and theorizing. But the dedication needed to commit hard-sought resources to actualisation appears to be what we cannot afford. Zero wonder we have more men at the newspaper stands than at workshops. Another fact is the lack of foresight. We prefer today's gains and bother less about tomorrow. We see no link between today and tomorrow. We prefer temporary structures in a bid to keep the artisan busy than establishing solid ones that beat time. Another of our failings is our perception about some facts of life. We tend to have the wrong notion on charity. Ind

UNGA: President Buhari Condemns Killings In Rohingya

Image
The Nigeria's president, today in a speech delivered at the 72nd United Nations General Assembly in New York, condemned the killings in the Rahine region in Myanmar. Pres. Buhari at UNGA President Muhammadu Buhari who affirmed that the killings  are a ethnic and religious offensive backed by state authority and directed against Muslims, likened it to the genocides in Rwanda and Bosnia in 1994 and 1995 respectively.  "The Myanmar crisis is very reminiscent of what happened in Bosnia in 1995 and in Rwanda in 1994," he was quoted as saying.  "The international community cannot remain silent and not condemn the horrendous suffering caused by what, from all indications is a state-backed programme of brutal depopulation of the Rohingya inhabited areas in Myanmar on the bases of ethnicity and religion. We fully endorse the call by the Secretary-General on the Government of Myanmar to order a halt to the ongoing ethnic cleansing and ensure the safe return of the d

Terrorism: The Shortsightedness Of Proscribing IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been branded a terror group and outlawed from the South-east in separate statements made by the Military Defence Headquarters and the South East Governors Forum? But is it not rather amazing, I mean to say wrongly amazing, that the organization has been so, and quickly too, described? Does it not stir a wonderment to the effect that within hours and just days of seeming confrontation between the military and the group, the Nigerian state was swift to so classify it? The confrontation, however, yes, the confrontation from all knowledge was one that happened to be reactionary; a case of having to react when been jabbed on the mouth. In citing the reasons for its conclusion, the bulk of the rationale seems to have been gathered within just these few days of the 'confrontation' between members of IPOB and the army in the widely condemned military exercise codenamed Operation Python Dance II. But how reasonable is that quick conc

IPOB, A militant Terrorist Group-DHQs

Image
The Nigerian Defense Headquarters (DHQ), Friday, declared the separatist movement headed by Nnamdi Kanu, Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) a 'militant terrorist organization'. Citing reasons that ranged from what it said were open confrontations with the army, illegal mounting of road blocks to extort money from innocent citizens, among others the DHQ said it came to the conclusion following analyses and reports which places the group as a violent one. The Defence Director of Information, Major General John Enenche, while making a press statement said that, contrary to the feeling which IPOB has consistently passed, the group has shown to be violent and arms-wielding. Enenche advised all that have anything to do with the group to heed the warning or face the consequences that arise from aligning with a terror group. He also called on parents to dissuade their wards from identifying with the group. He said, “After due professional analysis and recent developments,

Agitation, A wrongly Focused Effort by Anthony Okediran

There is the need, at times like this-with growing momentum of dissents, uneasiness and agitations, to review our journey and reset our perception as a people. Indeed, it is one apt time to recheck what went wrong with us as a nation and speak to latter days. But, very necessary, the issues should neither be tribalised nor treated with kids glove. On a quick note, we should not only express disgust about the gory sight on social media. First, we must look at the impact of idleness on us all. Recession was not solely a product misappropriations. It was fanned by our perchant for easy route. We gather to dream of Eldorado while we refuse the long walk. We lost it to tribalism. Refusing to celebrate neither our unity. I love to see Phino do collabor with Olamide. Tell me if they both don't deserve national honours, say MON or OFR. Our preacher also fail us. Travel  through the villages and see who is evangeling or educating the people . The Orthodox in a few but the modern

Nnamdi Kanu And The Punctured Pus

The penchant of the Buhari's administration to sell Kanu at the later's slightest and seeming provocation is its defining weakness. The height of this government diplomatic idiocy is to crave to seek for ants where there are no infested firewoods. The fact which seems to be, and which deeply is, is that Nnamdi Kanu is the ticking time bomb which the Nigerian government led by Muhammad Buhari is seeking to detonate. There are many submissions that seek to adduce to this. They are very obvious to a few yet subtle to many as well. Just like the initial arrest, in 2015, that sold out the Agitator's fame, the Buhari is seeking in rearresting him, an escalation and a justification of Kanu's preeminent posture. That's is to say the recent invasion of the IPOB's leader's house, which seems to be the focus of the recently launched Operation Python Dance II in the South East, is totally uncalled for, misplaced and cheaply inciting to violence. It is one act ve

Apple Launches 'Facial Censor' iPhone X

Image
Apple Inc rolled out its much-anticipated iPhone X, Tuesday, but not without a hitch. When the company's Chief Executive Tim Cook called it “the biggest leap forward since the original iPhone,” it never anticipated what would be an embarrassing moment for the company when one of the features, the face ID, refused to work. The good news was that that innovation, later worked, on a second attempt.  The iPhone X’s over $1000 price which seems a prospect in raising its earnings still raised eyebrows, and its Nov. 3 ship date prompted questions about possible supply constraints ahead of the holiday season.

9/11: Remembering The Victims Of Terror

Image
Pentagon It was on September 11, 2001 that Osama Bin Laden's terror attack hit the United States, exactly 16 years on. It was an unprecedented terror attack that shook the US and stunned the whole world. Scores, from diverse nationalities, were killed when the hijacked planes simultaneously hit the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Today, the world reflects on the incident that reintensified the war against terrorism. Today, the world remembers the victims of that u wickedness.

Brutality: Fr Onunkwo Suffocated To Death

Image
Late Fr Onunkwo Fresh evidence has emerged as to how Rev. Fr. CY Onunkwo, the abducted Catholic priest of the Orlu Diocese died. While parading the suspected kidnappers of the priest before newsmen yesterday in Owerri, one of the culprits had confessed to how they committed the crime that led to the painful death of the Catholic priest. According to him, when the priest was stopped, he had told his crime partners that their target was a priest, a suggestion which the others, to which included a police ex-corporal did not heed. He informed that after Fr Onunkwo was seized, he was bundled behind the booth of his car and driven to their destination. At arrival, it was discovered that their cargo had gone bad. The man behind the booth, having obviously battled with breathlessness, suffocated to death. Having discovered how their  'market' had gone bad and business ended, the syndicate dropped the lifeless body of their victim just by the bush and fled with his car.

Lagos: Priest Shot, Suspects Apprehended

Five suspects have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command in connection with the early morning shooting of a priest, Reverend Father Daniel Nwankwo, at the St Thomas Catholic Church, Onilekere, Ikeja, Lagos. Vanguard gathered that Father Nwankwo, who is currently receiving treatments at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, ‎was attacked by the gunmen around 8.30am immediately after the 6:30am mass. ‎Eyewitnesses disclosed that the gunmen, gained access into the church pretending to be parishioners, while the mass was on and they requested to have an audience with the priest at the end of the mass. It was gathered that as they were received by the priest, one of the gunmen, who heard communicating in Igbo language fluently, pulled out a locally-made gun and shot at the priest,  and they immediately scaled the fence of the church and fled through a canal close to the church. The Lagos State Police Command Spokesperson, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, while co

PERSONALITY DEV'T: Character Ethic Versus Personality Ethic

Personality development entails building the individual into an acceptable form that's well appreciated. It is the packaging of a person so as to wear an outward form that reflects a huge definition of values. But mostly, personality development has been made to be seen as a response to personality ethic, which itself basically, is a reflection of those efforts that seek to present the individual as happy even when he's deep down eaten up. By personality ethic, it is the bending of outward attitude against the inside values so as to look positive even when negative inside, hopeful even when totally enervated inside and inspiring even when not in the least. It is those effort that seek to make the individual relate to the poor, inferior people, which ordinarily he wouldn't, just to achieve a purpose. But then, personality ethic stands mostly in deference to the more deeply rooted, more engrafted, more strongly founded character ethic. Against character ethnic, person

Young Medical Doctor Return Over N2Million Credited To Him In Error

According to reports, a Nigerian doctor, Oluh Tochukwu, has returned the N2.7 million that was mistakenly deposited into his bank account. The doctor who is attached to the Imo State University Teaching Hospital, took to his Facebook page to write about how he got an alert in one of his bank accounts which he doesn't use frequently. He reportedly told the bank to reverse the money back to its owner.  "In this austere time and with the long holidays knocking, the sum of #2.7M (Two million seven hundred thousand Naira) was MISTAKENLY credited into one of my "not well used" accounts 3 days ago. I reported officially and have given the required consent and other stuffs necessary to REVERSE it back to where it came from successfully. "There are still HONEST Nigerians. OLUH BEDE TOCHUKWU IS ONE OF THEM. BARKA D SALLAH to all my Muslim friends and happy holidays to all and sundry." Below is the transaction view: Dr Oluh Tochukwu

Eid Kabir: A Wonderful Moment To Step Into Embers

Image
The new month of September comes bright and fresh, offering us a gift. The gift of Eid Kabir, the Muslim festival of sacrifice, obedience and humility. September marks the beginning of the notorious Embers catchment, the period of the year usually associated with eerie feeling. The Embers, from whatever drawn myth, are such infamous moments when it's claimed that the windows and porches of hell are opened, with every evil flash focused around the human domain. But this September-the September of 2017, is as it's observed, coming with one huge excitement; the excitement from the celebration of the festival that would, to an extent, be seen as assuaging considerably the fears, the apprehensions and all other negative feelings that bestride the coming of the Ember months. The Muslim festival of Eid Kabir is a point to focus on as to how the good moment of joy that comes with a feeling of peace, of relaxation has come to stand in for the restlessness and fears of the Embe

Everything Set For Tricycle Ban In Owerri

Image
If everything works out well with the plan of the Imo state government, the operation of commercial tricycles popularly known as 'keke' would be stopped in Owerri, the capital city. Information Keke Napep emanating from reliable sources indicate that the planned ban which would take effect soon was reached after an extensive agreement talk by the 'keke' operators and the state government. One of the keke operators who confirmed the ongoing insinuation said that they state government had demanded for their opinion on the kind of vehicles to be used as replacement. He said that they opted for the Passat model of the Volkswagen car. With this it is more likely that the Passat would be the typical taxi operating car in the state. The ban on keke operations became rife following the increased rates of kidnappings in the state. The other reason is the traffic congestion they cause, which oftentimes see the kekes lined on the roads like ants. At a time, the st

Owerri Demolition: Calm Yet To Return

The noise emanating from the demolition of the Ekeukwu market, Owerri seems not to be one that would soon stop. This is going by the waves of reactions that have continued to trail the incident. On Wednesday evening, uneasiness reared up again and within the same vicinity of the market where it was alleged there was an attack, this time ethnic. The fight escalated to other areas like the Wetheral road and the Assumpta avenue, leaving people scampering for safety. Most business owners, especially along the Wetheral road axis as observed, hurriedly locked up their shops for fear of the unknown. Commuters were stranded as crowd built up. The Owerri indigenes, it was alleged felt angered by the involvement of the people of Ohaji Egbema, another local government area in the state in the confrontation that led to the eventual demolition. So, they set out to attack any person of that area. Though unverified, it was alleged that the brawl took two lives. Claims were rife, within the

Kanu Dares FG On Rearrest, Restate Call For Elections Boycott

Image
The self-acclaimed supreme leader of the separatist agitators, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has dared the federal government of Nigeria on its plan to rearrest him. While speaking to newsmen in Aba on Sunday the leader of the separatist group threatened that anyone who comes to arrest him in 'Biafraland' would not leave to tell the story. Nnamdi Kanu “I’m a Biafran and we are going to crumble the zoo. Some idiots who are not educated said that they’ll arrest me, and I ask them to come. I’m in Biafra land. If any of them leaves Biafra land alive know that this is not IPOB. Tell them that’s what I said.  “Tell Buhari that I’m in Aba and any person who comes to arrest Nnamdi Kanu in Biafra land will die here. I’ll never go on exile I assure you." While speaking on the Anambra governorship polls, he insisted on his stand that there will not be any elections without a referendum.  “We are going to boycott Anambra state election. After Anambra 2017, in 2019,

The Ekeukwu Killing, The Unwary Decision

Image
Grief was on a very high tempo. It was indeed a moment of tears, uncontrollable, of wailing unwedged and of sorrow unmollified. That was the situation at the scene of the murderous clampdown on aggrieved protesters who were contesting the action of the Imo state government in demolishing the popular Ekeukwu market situated at the heart of Owerri, the state capital, August 26th. The 10years old killed It is indeed true, and to be fair to the government, that prior notices have been given in view of the relocation cum demolition. But then, the act that brewed the brawl was far inane and too sinister. For obvious reasons, the government had dispatched security operatives to hound down on resistance against its long standing decision. But baring all conscionable measures, it was a was a decision hastily taken and without caution to descend on armless, helpless citizens with naked brazenness of live ammunitions. I heard a ten years old boy was also affected by that harsh, cal

Xmas Broilers Production Not everyone is saving for the yuletide. Some are investing now in order to receive a share of your  Christmas savings. No one can, with a huge certainty, predict the outcome of the Mayweather versus  Macgregor bout. But it is very much clear that everyone can tell the destiny of broilers at Christmas. It is with the above that we continue to emphasise  the fact that livestock production does not have to be expansive. It could be more of a pastime effort; one done in one's spare time. The space behind the window can bring some cash returns. Also, the interested investor needs to understand the role of temperature, feed quality/quantity mix and timely deployment of drugs and vaccines. There are agro shops around town offering free consultancy to small scale farmers. It is important to understand that broilers are ready for the market within 9-12 weeks of adequate care. The obvious fact is that return on investment is very high and th

The Rowdiness Of Life, Our Way To Live

Life is about hustle for better prospects. It is indeed about struggle; the struggle to make what we possess better and more sustaining. It is this reality that gets people focused on doing things and making moves whose goal, albeit sometimes seemingly, is to improve on what makes us alive and gets us going. Therefore the driving force of all our endeavors to struggle, to hustle, is to keep life going and going on better. Everyday people move out, even though it might be not with a defined focus but with the determination to keep the life they have worth its living. Our market places are busy hubs, our streets are sizzled with the spright, energetic movements of people seeking to fend for a living. Everyone, big and small is engrossed in one of this or that activity to fend for living. People are on the move, traveling and journeying as passengers with a destination whose end is to keep soul and body in good shape. The busy schedules, the hustles and the incensed commitments tha

Court, At All Cost, The Good Attention

"...Never let yourself get lost in the crowd, then, or buried in oblivion. Stand out..."-Robert Green, 48 Laws of Power. The things we say, define us, the things we do, very well distinguish us. Our reflection of the things we are inside is what sell us out. They are the things that reveal us to others. By and large, it is our manifest attributes that people, those that watch us, count on. It is in the above context that we must realize how important the things we say, do or posit matter. Our reputation more than anything is the advert that presents us to the outside world. Our character, no matter how stellar it is, remains within the locked in confines where it is only you, only I, can appreciate and judge. But what is a world without reputation? What is interrelatedness without the others' appreciation of what we have and who we are? How do we inspire and win friends when there's nothing-that is appealing-to show? How do we influence and stand out when ther

President Buhari Returns After 103 Days Away

Image
President Muhammadu Buhari, who has been away on a medical vacation in the UK, is back to the country. He returned at exactly 4.30pm. Mr Buhari left the shores of the country on the 7th of May for the treatment of an undisclosed ailment, leaving many Nigerians just wondering on what the nature of the illness is. The speculations grew to an unbearable extent where some had begun to stage protests demanding for the resignation of the president if he fails to return. This was after the man had stayed for upwards of 90 days. As the president successfully makes his return, we thank the almighty for granting him recovery and safely bringing him home. It is believed that the return of the president would save the nation from impending political crisis and put to silent the growing demand for his exit. According to an official press release by his media aide prior to his return, the returning president would address the nation on Monday, the 21st of August.

#It'sWorldHumanitarianDay

Image
Today, the international community marks the 2017 World Humanitarian Day. Credit:ajala.ng This is a day set aside by the United Nations to reflect on our commitments toward helping others especially those whose vulnerability and helplessness call out for support and encouragement. World's Humanitarian Day is all about moving out of ourselves and meeting the needs of the next person, that person who is in genuine need. It is, even as much as we can remain within ourselves, about thinking of the other person; what we can do and are doing to impact upon them. World Humanitarian Day is about others, it is about selflessness. Our gifts, talents and resources must be seen to have some impacts in the lives of others. Critically, our resources should be used for the service of others. This is the reflection that today brings and the expression it excites. In the words of the great civil rights activist, Martin Luther King Jr, the most persistent and urgent question is "Wh

The Dos And Don'ts Of Handshake

Image
This piece is reproduced with permission from Etienying Akpanusong. #etiquettecoach #etiquette Did you know that a handshake is more than just a greeting? Yes, it also sends a message about one's personality and confidence level. In this article, we are going to be dealing with: which hand to shake; who brings out his or her hand first; for how long are you supposed to hold or grip the hand; how to swing the hand, etc. It is important to know the proper way to shake hands because making a good first impression is essential in many social and business situations. The right hand is the appropriate hand to offer unless in a case where there is a limp hand involved.  While offering your hand, observe the receiver's hand to ensure he or she can receive a handshake with the same hand but if you have already offered your hand and then noticed that the receiver's right hand is limp, quietly change and offer your left hand instead with no explanations needed. Kanu Withdraws His'No referendum, no election' threat.

Just as was envisaged would finally happen, the self acclaimed supreme leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu yesterday reneged on the boycott he issued over the November, 2017 governorship poll in Anambra state. Former Vice president, Ekwueme with Nnamdi Kanu The withdrawal came soon after he had a meeting with a sociocultural group, the Ala-Igbo Development Foundation, in Owerri, the Imo state capital. Kanu stated that the IPOB which he leads is a nonviolent body and assured the leaders of the sociocultural group whom he regarded as elders that he respect of the readiness of his group to let the elections hold.  Kanu briefly said: “I came because of my respect for elders. IPOB is not a violent group. We are law abiding citizens of the society. “What we here today will guide us in the issue of Anambra election. I will go and meet with the leadership of IPOB.” The boycott statement by Nnamdi Kanu right from the onset was seen as an ineffective

When In Conversation With An Elder

Image
The human rife for socialization gets him going and moving into scenarios where he shares thoughts, feelings and worries. People chat on trivial, soft issues, they discuss on matters of importance; with the conversation focusing on meeting the need to interact and share what's in the mind. When age mates and contemporaries converse, even if it's serious, their talk always is a show of ease,of relaxation and of an inherent comfort. But not like that with elders, senior colleagues and older people, who the demand to respect weighs in on the individual a steaming coordination and flying calmness. Have you sat down and talked with an adult? As in whether you have engaged in a conscious conversation with someone older, say your father, grandfather or mother. Unlike the chitchats with a friend, obviously, the case here is different. Definitely, you might wish to get on well in a conversation with an elderly person and still retain that spark of admiration that won you that

FARMERS WITH NO CONSTRAINTS (II), by Anthony Okediran

"The Stubborn Useless Goats' Yesterday morning as I hurry to avoid the friday meeting fine. I overhad a shop owner shout " sturborn Useless Goats" The herd  spent the night at her frontage with a huge task for the morning. I agreed goats are sturborn. They eat everything eatable. They have great resistance to adverse weather. And they keep the investors fund growing. Surely goats can survive confinement. The goat farmer only need to be ready to feed the flock. A good understanding of goats  feeding pattern spices the returns. Goats aren't useless. At least the Nkwo obi and Isi ewu delicacy can be witnesses in this case. The goat meat flavor is irrestible anyday. Everyone can earn additional income rearing goats. And it doesn't have to be a full time job. With the continuous slump in economic growth and the attendant growing concern, the need to look inwards and effect a diversification process for effective economic turnarounds becomes the more glaring. Is There Something With The President Staying Out Over 90 Days?

Many comments have been made since President Buhari jetted out to London for his renewed medical vacation. As more issues became raised as to the status of his health and veracity of the claims by those who paid him visits, it appeared the many interlocutors would have yet more to busy on.  The subsequent feed would this time shift to the appropriacy of Mr Buhari expending over a period of 90 days outside. Many have questioned the long stay, many more picking it as bait to nail the president's mandate, citing such as unconstitutional. But is it unconstitutional? Does the constitution say anything to its effect? What exactly does the constitution says about more than a 90 days leave? The President, Muh'd Buhari, took the needed constitutional permission to be away in London, UK for medical vacation by way of writing to the Senate. That leave began on the 7th of May, precisely. And Mr President since then has been on this leave of absence, leaving the affairs of governm

The Love We Share, The Life We Live

"All things work together for them that love God, for them who are called by his name." And who are those that love God? They are those who keep his command, to love God and their neighbors as they love themselves. I heard these very wordings of the scripture today, as I worshipped in church, and it struck me in a very remote way. As I listened to the priest continuously harped on this very words and emphasized on it by delving deeper into how one could experience this 'working together for good', it scraped me to ponder on the subject of love, the very instrument of our essence of living. Summarily, the sermonist taught about how love is central in obtaining graces from God and how it would be impossible to love without sacrifice. But truly, the love of God could only be imaginary without the practical effectuation made manifest by the love of man to his fellow human beings. Image
One of life's salient realities is that of man's mortality. He's controlled by and easily susceptible to the vagaries that tilt life. Though we find it hard to accept, the indispensableness of man to life's uncontrollable situations cannot be denied. Man is limited, man is vulnerable; and that's as far as nature's forces are concerned. Yes, indeed he can die, just as more easily he can be indisposed. The way in which the two parties have, for reasons spinning around sentiments, handled the ill health of Mr Pr
